Churches Together in Headington’s Songs of Praise 2013 will take place on Sunday 8th September 2013 at 6.00pm at All Saints’ Church in Lime Walk. It is anticipated that the service will finish between 7.00 and 7.15pm and everyone is warmly invited to stay for refreshments afterwards.

This year the theme for our service is ‘Heroes and Heroines in Christ’. Different from previous years, we are asking each church group that takes part to focus on one or more individuals who have done great deeds in Christ. For example, a biblical saint, like Saint Peter, or a non-biblical one such as St. Francis of Assisi – or a more recent Christian figure such as John Wesley, Catherine Mumford Booth, Elizabeth Fry, Billy Graham, or Mother Teresa.

So far the following churches are contributing: All Saints', St Mary's, Headington Quakers, Cornerstone Church, and possibly St Andrew's and Lime Walk Methodist.  If you would like to take part, and haven't contacted Colin Openshaw yet, then please do so as soon as possible!
