'Going for Gold' - a 'Holiday at Home' event in the Church Hall , New High Street.

'Holiday at home' is like a Holiday Club for children only this event is aimed at older people who are still young at heart!

So, you can come and share in a range of activities, relax, chat and enjoy one another’s company over a morning cuppa, a cooked lunch and tea and cake served in the afternoon. All for just £4.50 per day!

There will also be a quiz, a sing -song, a ‘Thought for the Day’ and a special contribution from Oxford Museum.

You can come on one or both days and you’ll be sure of a warm welcome and have lots of fun.

This will help us with catering arrangements but you can also just turn up on the day and there will be food available!

Saturday 21st July : 2.30 p.m - 4.30 p.m

'Messy Church': a Family Fun afternoon in the Church Hall , New High Street.

We have been running this kind of activity for nearly a year now and those who come always find it good fun. It’s a great opportunity for all ages to be together and this Olympic themed event is no exception.

So bring your friends, neighbours and family members or just come on your own and join in the fun. Activities planned so far include making cakes, flags & Olympic medals and there is always a story and tea and cake at the end.

So why not give it a try ? It’s FREE !

Sunday 22nd July : 10.30 a.m

Sports service in the Church, Lime Walk

Our Olympic themed events culminate in a service in which we celebrate the gift of sport.

The Church will be festooned with flags and sports gear and we’ll be welcoming Richard Gamble, one of the chaplains serving at the Olympic Games who will share his insights about the Olympic Games and the opportunities there are in sport to share the gospel.

The service will also be recorded by Radio Cherwell and will be broadcast in our local hospitals later on in the day.

We hope you’ll be able to stay after the Sports service for the Bring and Share Lunch in the Hall.
